- How does student summer storage work?
Reserve now, we pick up after finals, store your items over the summer, and return them before move-in. We serve students from Brown, RISD, Johnson & Wales, Mass, Amherst, Providence College, and other Providence-area schools.
- When will my items be picked up?
Pickup is scheduled after finals week for each school. You can reserve now and choose your pickup date later. Early reservations are recommended because pickup slots fill quickly.
- Do you pick up from dorm rooms?
Yes. Curbside pickup is included. Dorm room or apartment pickup is available for a small additional fee.
- How much does student storage cost?
Pricing depends on how many items you store. Boxes start from about $12 per month, and most students spend about $250–$600 total for the summer depending on how much they store. Pickup and return on scheduled dates are included.
- Can I share storage with friends?
Yes. Many students share a storage unit to save money. We can recommend the best size based on what you have.
- Is MetroVault cheaper than other student storage providers?
In most cases yes. MetroVault is a local facility, so we offer lower total cost, more flexibility, and the option to share units.
- What schools do you serve?
Brown University, RISD, Johnson & Wales, Providence College, URI, UMass, Amherst, Bryant, and nearby schools.
- Is there a minimum storage period?
Our program is designed for the full summer break, typically May through August or September, but we can accommodate other schedules when possible.
- When do I get my items back?
Deliveries are scheduled around official move-in periods. You will receive a scheduling email before delivery.
- When should I reserve summer storage?
As early as possible. Pickup slots during finals week fill quickly, and early reservation guarantees availability.
